Chicken Piri-Piri or Frango Piri-Piri is a popular Portuguese dish.
You can prepare it the day before and then cook it on the grill. Simple and delicious.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 whole chicken opened flat or spatchcocked
- 2 tsp flaked sea salt
- 100ml olive oil
- 5 crushed garlic cloves
- juice of 1 fresh lemon
- 1 tsp piri-piri pasta
Serves 2.
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix all the ingredients to prepare the sauce to marinate the chicken.
Spoon over all the marinade and really massage it into both sides of the chicken. Leave it in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours.
Cook it on the barbacue for 20-30 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. If you’re not using a barbecue, use a griddle pan.
Serve straight away with chips and a salad. And you can add an extra power with the piri-piri sauce. Enjoy!
